A patented neural network — trained on over one million body scans, 400,000 backgrounds, and 90,000 poses — fuses both views into a precise 3D body model. Photos travel encrypted and are deleted the moment processing finishes.

Common questions

What kind of photos work best?

Easiest way: use the guided camera on this page. Prop your phone upright at roughly hip height (a shelf or a friend works), tap start when you can see yourself head to toe, and the countdown gives you time to get into place — front view first, then it walks you through the side view.

Fitted clothing gives the most accurate results — loose shirts should be tucked in. No special pose, lighting, or background is required.

What happens to my photos?

Photos are processed immediately and deleted — they are not stored or retained, and no personally identifiable information is linked to the scan. They travel over an encrypted connection (TLS) and are downscaled on your device before upload, so the full-resolution originals never leave your phone.

Can I compare scans over time without an account?

Yes — that's the point of the "Save on this device" button on your results. Saved scans live in your browser (not on our servers), and reappear at the top of this page next time you visit, so you can reopen any scan to see the 3D body model and compare measurements to a fresh one.

Hosted progress tracking with history, deltas, and month-over-month comparison across devices is available to API partners building it into their own products.

Why does my browser ask for camera permission?

That prompt comes from your browser, not from us — every website that wants to use your camera must ask, and there's no way around it. Nothing is captured until you start the countdown, the preview stays on your device, and your browser remembers your choice for this site so you're normally only asked once. If you'd rather not grant it, uploading photos works just as well.

How accurate is it?

Typical error on major measurements is within half an inch — often much closer. The technology was built on Cambridge research and trained on over one million body scans, 400,000 backgrounds, and 90,000 body poses, which makes it consistent across body types, skin tones, and environments.

What measurements do I get?

This demo returns a standard set of about 20 commonly used measurements — chest, waist, hips, thighs, biceps, calves, neck, shoulder width, inseam, torso lengths, and more — shown alongside your interactive 3D model with height first and the rest in alphabetical order.

Because the scan produces a full 3D body model, any circumference or length between any points on the model can be generated. API partners configure custom measurement sets for apparel sizing, uniform fitting, fitness tracking, and health monitoring.

Can I export or reuse the 3D model?

Yes — the underlying 10,000-point mesh can be exported as an OBJ file for CAD, pattern-making, visualization, and digital-twin applications (available to API partners). One honest note: it's a measurement-grade body model, not a textured lookalike avatar — built for accurate dimensions rather than appearance.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The demo runs entirely in your browser on any modern phone, tablet, or laptop. For production integrations there's a REST API, and the 3D viewer you see here can be embedded in your own app or site.

I'm evaluating this for my company. What does integration look like?

One HTTPS endpoint. Your platform sends two photos and a height; the API returns the 3D model plus the measurement set you specify — as structured data, or as the embeddable viewer you see on this page. Custom outputs and white-label experiences are available. Contact us for a technical walkthrough.

Something didn't work — what should I check?

Make sure both photos show your full body head-to-toe, your height is entered, and you're on a reasonably recent browser. Very dark photos or heavy occlusion (long coats, other people in frame) can fail reconstruction. If it still fails, try re-taking the photos — and if you're a developer hitting an integration snag, get in touch.
